Removing the "Next Blog" Navigation Bar

When setting up your blog, you'll notice that Blogger provides you with a navigation bar at the top of your blog.   There are some helpful links on the navigation bar including a quick link for adding a new post.  However, many people after some time want to remove this bar because anyone who visits your blog will be able to click on the "Next Blog" link.  This link will allow users to visit a completely random blog.

When clicking on this, you have no idea which blog you will visit and as the blog owner, you have no control over this. Your best option, since Blogger will not allow you to remove this, is to hide the navigation bar. I have seen a couple of ways to do this, but this way worked best for me.

1. You will need to locate the "Design" tab on your Blogger Admin navigation bar.  From here click on "Edit HTML".
2. Locate this section.

   You can scroll down to this section or use your browser to search for this section. (As always, you'll want to be careful what changes you make here.)
3. Just above this section, insert the following code:

#navbar-iframe {height:0px;visibility:hidden;display:none}

After you paste this code, you can first click on Preview to make sure the code works, and then if everything looks in order, you can finalize the changes by clicking "Save Template".  This code should successfully hide the navigation bar.
